Though skin is often categorized by type—dry, oily, normal, sensitive, and combination—it's important to remember that every person's skin is unique. Different skin types can require different care, but ultimately the goal is always to maintain balance. A good skincare routine will cleanse and exfoliate the skin, hydrate it, and protect it from the sun. The products you use will be determined by your skin type, but with the right products, everyone can achieve a healthy skin. Use the Link on the left to learn your skin type

Normal Skin

If your skin feels neither dry nor oily, you have normal skin. This is the skin type that is considered ideal. You are lucky if you have this skin type as it is not prone to blemishes or sensitivity. Your skin has a healthy balance of oil and water. You have the largest selection of skincare products to choose from!

Dry Skin

Dry skin is often characterized by a feeling of tightness, itchiness, and flakiness. The skin may also appear dull, red, or cracked. Dry skin is a common problem, especially during the winter months when the air is cold and dry. There are several things you can do to help relieve the symptoms of dry skin.

Combination Skin

People with combination skin usually have an oily T-zone, which is the forehead, nose, and chin. These areas are more prone to breakouts. The rest of the face, such as the cheeks, tends to be dry. People with combination skin should look for products that will balance out the skin, oil-free and non-comedogenic

Oily Skin

Oily skin is the result of the sebaceous glands producing too much sebum. Sebum is the natural oil that protects and hydrates the skin. Although sebum is necessary, too much of it leads to problems such as oily skin, clogged pores, and acne. Managing oily skin usually requires a person to be consistent with their skin care routine.

Sensitive Skin

Sensitive skin is a condition where your skin is more prone to reactions. Many people with sensitive skin notice occasional burning, itching, and stinging of their skin. If you have sensitive skin, you may have to be careful with the products you use and the amount of time you spend in the sun.
